National Declutter Week
17th January 2012
Did you know that people in the UK have become seasoned hoarders? Apparently since the recession hit, as a nation we have become more aware of what we throw away and have instead started to store items that we may find of use in the future.
Now we’re not talking about the programmes that you may have seen on television where people have collected every newspaper or carrier bag they have ever come across and are now starting to clutter themselves into their own homes. We’re talking about more practical hoarding such as old television sets, sports equipment, baby items and clothing that although we don’t use at the moment, may come in handy in the future.
Although this is good when it comes to reducing our environmental impact through land fill and such like. It can mean that we’re starting to feel the impact in our homes as storage spaces such as attics, garages and cellars start to fill up. That’s why we’d like to give you advanced notice of National Declutter Week.
This event runs from 7th March and is aimed at giving you the boost you need to sort through your personal items and everything you have stored around your home. Recycle or safely dispose of everything you no longer need and put the rest into a storage facility such as Cube Self Storage. That way you will free up space in your home while your items are safe and secure until the time comes when you need them again.
We have a variety of different sized rooms available at affordable rates. Plus you don’t have to wait until Declutter Week to start storing, simply contact us for more information.
